risk of some types of cancer such as prostate cancer, breast cancer,
ovarian cancer and uterine cancer according to some research.
A study
conducted in San Francisco with nearly 1,000 women proved that women
who had highest intake of lignan have lower risk of developing
endometrical cancer. Another study conducted shown that with highest intake of lignan lower the risk of developing ovarian cancer.

Cucumber contains 95 percent of water;
eating cucumber is a good way to stay hydrated all day. Some research
says that cucumber promotes anti-aging and anti-wrinking.

Cucumber contains vitamin K, drinking one cup gives about 19 percent of
vitamin K, which is recommended daily intake according to University of Maryland Medical Center. Vitamin K are needed in human body for building bones. Another research
conducted in 1999 by American Journal of Clinical of Nutrition found
that low intake of vitamin K may increase the risk of hip fractures in
middle age women.

12,000 adults shows that people who consumed 4,069 mg of potassium each
day lower the risk of cardiovascular disease by 37 percent and
ischaemic heart disease by 49 percent.
